Putting the cookie bags together!

This past week in the midst of planning the wedding and getting everything perfect, I decided to bake about 200 cookies.  That's right.  On Thursday (2 days before the wedding) my mom, grandma, Rachel, Kate and brother Adam headed to Adam's mom's house to bake.  We decided on a combination of 3 different cookies:  Mint Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and Hamantashan (with apricot or peanut butter/chocolate filling).  It took about 4 hours of hard work.  Thankfully we had the new Kitchenaid and the double oven, which sped up the process incredibly.  And we took breaks to play ping pong and read People magazines and of course eat cookie dough.  But all in all it was a success and they became perfect party favor!

Favorite moments:
Kate turning the Kitchenaid on too high and spraying flour all over.
Adam cutting the macadamia nuts into perfect bite size pieces.
Grandma and Kate rolling out the Hamantashan while mom and I took care of the filling.
Forgetting the eggs and sending Rachel and Adam out to buy new ones.
Playing ping pong (while the cookies were cooling) with brother Adam and getting a lesson on how to play from Adam's dad.
Running out of purple ribbon and having Adam's mom's friend save the day and bring us more.

It was the perfect way to start the wedding celebrations.  I couldn't have done it without all of my wedding weekend helpers!  I am blessed with wonderful family and friends.... and of course, a cookie sweet tooth.
